3. Learn how to shoot a gun.

DONE!!!

Thanks to a good friend in Colorado, I have now shot a 9 millimeter pistol, an M4, a shotgun... and something else... I'll get back to you on that. It was FREEZING out... but it was awesome.

THANKS WHIPP!!

6. Go blond (just for a little while).

Ok. I am having second thoughts. But I don't know if I'm allowed to change my mind on the blond thing. The only thing I accomplished by doing this online makeover was confirming the fact that I am not, nor should be, blond. Thoughts?

And yes- I am, indeed wearing overalls. Came to work as Rosie the Riveter for Halloween today.

Is there time for more???

Is it ok to add more to the list?

101. Visit a ghost town or two.
102. Have dinner in the Tokyo restaurant with the monkeys.
103. Have dinner in the Volterra Italy prison restaurant.

Now- the problem with 102 and 103 is that they might be a TAD too expensive for this 1000 day mission. BUT, I will hold onto them just in case.

November Trip to Colorado & New Mexico

With a little help from a friend and a father, I may be able to ignore the laws of time and complete a few of these in just 6 days!

3. Learn how to shoot a gun.
9. Go to a casino.
20. Ride a motorcycle.
27. Participate in an archaeological dig, anywhere.
90. Go off-roading.

Up for consideration: 6. Go blond (just for a little while).

Will I actually be able to find a dig while I'm there? Not sure. Maybe if I can't, that will be my sign to go blond just to make it an outrageous week.

Panic!

Someone pointed out to me yesterday that this essentially means one item must be completed every 10 days. I might have to quit at least one of my jobs....

100 Things to Do in the Next 1000 Days. An Introduction

I took another woman's idea. But remember, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. **Thank you Ray's friend Autumn!!**

It has taken my friend Ray and I over two weeks to finish our lists. Wouldn't you think that it would be easy to come up with 100 things you want to do? And I guess it is, but at the same time, you want to make sure they are really worth it. You want to make sure that they are truly the most important 100 things for you to get done.

As it turns out, 1000 days takes me to right after my 30th birthday. That's not a bad coincidence! But you know what is even more interesting... If we make it 100 things to do in the next 1179 days... we'll be allll set for the end of the Mayan calendar- whatever that may bring. Allow me to supply my disclaimer here: I know nothing about 12.21.2012. I think it's interesting, and worth doing a little research on, but this is in No way a morbid, end of the world/life, Bucket List. This a list of things I would like to do. And I long ago discovered that without deadlines, I get nothing done.

So, welcome to my list. I will provide two countdowns along the way- 1000 days, and also the countdown to 12.21.2012. I will decide later which deadline to honor. =)
